Blurg Bottle - Dark Blue

Sale Price:£170.00 Original Price:£200.00
Sold Out

Height: 21 cm

Width: 20 cm

Length: 20 cm

The Blurg Bottles are a limited series of six segmented terracotta bottles, with tubular rims and pinched round ears decorating their bodies. The interiors of the bottles are glazed to allow for functional use, and the exteriors are finished with a matte underglaze, presenting the texture of the terracotta clay.

This Bottle has been fired to 1200°C allowing the terracotta to vitrify, creating a surface that is durable and resistant to water absorption. The deep blue is broken in places by the blush of the iron from the terracotta beneath. The surface is textured, and very satisfying to the touch.
